JetBlue Technologies is investing in ClimaCell, a startup company that developed aviation software to track ground-level weather. The airline uses that information to make better decisions about schedule changes or procedures like de-icing. "That information enabled us to hold onto the existing schedule and not cancel flights, because we knew the weather was going to end earlier," said JetBlue's Ian Deason.

The Las Vegas City Council approved a 1.2 million-square-foot casino resort this week. The hotel will have 777 guest rooms, and an above-ground parking garage will be constructed across Main Street with access to the casino and hotel via a pedestrian bridge.
Local restaurants and casinos soon will be able to procure salads from an indoor vertical farm east of the Las Vegas Strip. Oasis Biotech will begin deliveries next week and can provide roughly 9,500 servings of mixed salad each day.

Cyprus Casino saw more than 34,000 visitors during its first three weeks, and the rewards club has attracted 6,000 people. "So far the number of visitors has exceeded our expectations and we are very gratified with the response from our guests," said City of Dreams Property President Craig Ballantyne.
